| Four from Singapore make it to Forbes Billionaires List |

Four tycoons from Singapore have made it to this year’s Forbes Billionaires List.
The highest ranked Singaporean on the list is UOB banker Wee Cho Yaw and his family, with an estimated wealth of some 3.5 billion US dollars.
He came in 258th place, sharing that spot with Kuok Khoon Hong, the head of commodities firm, Wilmar International.
Coming in 616th place is Zhong Sheng Jian, founder of property group Yanlord, with 1.6 billion US dollars.
The man dubbed the remisier king of Singapore, Peter Lim, came in 655th position with 1.5 billion US dollars.
Topping the list is Mexican telecom titan Carlos Slim and his family, who are worth 53.5 billion US dollars.
Mr Slim edged out Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who slipped to second spot with 53 billion US dollars.
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett is the third richest person in the world, with 47 billion US dollars. |
