| Cabby jailed for molesting 15-year-old passenger |

A taxi driver who had been fined 2,000 dollars for molesting a 15-year-old female passenger has now been sent to jail for eight weeks.
This followed a prosecution’s appeal that was heard today.
Justice V.K. Rajah said a stern signal has to be sent that inappropriate behaviour by public transport workers will not be tolerated.
He added that the public should be assured about the integrity of these workers. |
