The Singapore Red Cross says it will channel any donations made to help the quake victims in Haiti to the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies or IFRC.
This will help the IFRC with their immediate relief efforts.
However the Singapore Red Cross says it will not be launching a public appeal here as several appeals have been made to Singaporeans to help survivors of disasters in the region.
SRC says it does not want to cause "donor fatigue".
Nonetheless it will channel any donations made to the IFRC emergency appeal fund for Earthquake Haiti.
For logistical considerations, the Singapore Red Cross says it will not be accepting any donations-in-kind such as clothes or food. |
