The 'A' level results are out and the 2009 cohort did just as well as the previous cohort.

About 87.9 per cent of students passed in at least 3 H2 subjects and in General Paper or Knowledge and Inquiry. 

In 2008, it was 87.7 per cent. 

The Education Ministry said about 14,200 school students sat for the examinations last year. 

It said private candidates will receive their results by post.
